Wanda Inez Sims

   Wanda Inez Sims, 91, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away February 28, 2021 at her residence.

   She was born June 29, 1929, in England, AR to the late Odar Canterberry and Ethal Priest Canterberry. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James W. Sims; one brother, Odar Canterberry; two grandchildren, and one great grandchildren.

   Wanda worked for AT&T Bell Labs. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Dalton. Wanda loved to bowl and go snow sledding and also loved hot chocolate.

   She is survived by her daughter, Vickie (James) Wiseman of Dalton; two sons, James (Debbie) Sims of Dale, IN and Tim (Lee Ann) Sims of Ionia, MI; two sisters, Clara Mae Nova of Jacksonville, FL and Brenda Todd of Hot Springs, AR; four brothers, David Canterberry of Little Rock, AK, Billy Ray Canterberry of Hernanda, MS, Charles Canterberry of Omaha, NE, and Caroll Canterberry of Loneoak, AR; six grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

   Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Jones and Kirby Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Howton officiating. Burial will follow at Dalton Cemetery.

   Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home and masks will be required.
